Mind-reading tech is closer than you think – BBC REEL

In 2013, a group of scientists launched The Brain Initiative. The aim? To revolutionise our understanding of the human brain, including working out how to read a person's thoughts.

Dr Rafael Yuste, Director of Columbia University's Neurotechnology Center, believes that we may soon be able to ‘reprogram’ the brains of people with diseases such as schizophrenia, and help restore the memory of people with Alzheimer's.

But we may also soon be able to change or control a person's thoughts.

With estimates that it will take just 10 years to develop wearable mind reading tech, what can we do to protect our minds from neurotechnology?
